All credits practically go to evo4gnoob. His port of MIUI V5 to sprint, paved the way for verizon, and other US variants if people are willing to port.
His original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2228226, I will be watching closely.
MIUI V5
What works: (I'm sure exactly what works in his port)
The phone boots, and will go through the initial setup.
Status bar
Menus accessible through the launcher.
I personally have my IMEI assigned by NV Items, and my signal works. (EDIT: I have verified that calling works. thanks to voicemail notification)
What doesn't:
Too much to bother listing.
WARNING: This ROM will boot fine for a while, but doing certain things like bringing up the power menu, attempting to use the navbar, and i'm sure other random things will cause it to reboot and not recover (i.e. battery pull and re-install rom to reboot fully)
I will say its not worth flashing if you want to see miui v5s beauty, its not there yet =( but it will get there, anyways if you think you can help, here is the ROM
